“ Excellent country cooking. Absolutely delicious, hot and fresh! There's a convenient drive through, and a walk up area to order for eating in. Indoor seating is in the building to the right, there are doors at the front and rear, and restrooms located inside. There's a little outdoor eating area as well. ”

“ I live in Beaufort, NC but have family in Fayetteville, NC. This restaurant is on my route back and forth. I have passed it a hundred times noticing a huge line for the takeout. I made it my mission to try this place on my way home. I ordered the 2 piece fried chicken with cole slaw and potato salad. The lady taking my order was friendly and welcoming. It came out hot and fresh. I guess because the chicken pieces were on the smaller end of sizes, it was actually a 3 piece meal (one of the pieces was hidden under the thigh piece). The chicken skin was crispy and the meat was juicy. The coleslaw and potato salad was home made and delicious. The hush puppies were great. I will be back and I will try the barbecue next. Highly recommend! ”

“ As someone who’s family owned this business for 35 years, I know what the food, service, and experience expectation level should be more than anyone. I also know how difficult it was for our family to part with this business and the staff that have been a part of our family/lives and have BEEN our family for my entire life. Having said that, we couldn’t have chosen better new owners to sell to. They truly care about the business, the product, the patrons/the area, and the employees. They care because they themselves are very much invested in the city and aren’t just some corporate company that wants to make money. They have also chosen a wonderful GM who cares just as much as the new owners and my mother did all those years. The food is the same, the experience is the same, the employees are the same (and are as wonderful as they always have been), the only thing that has changed is who calls the shots and who signs the checks. Don’t let the change of ownership stop you from supporting this business as it is still top notch and the best in southeastern in NC. The new chicken sandwich is amazing and is as good if not better than the famous “Chic-Fil-A” sandwich. Our family wishes our close friends (the new owners) nothing but success as they transition into their new role this year! ”
